Astrometric and photometric study of KIC 8263801

In this project, we are proposing an in-depth study of a star KIC 8263801. Asteroseismic analysis of this star was carried out by Abedigamba (2016) who found the evolutionary status to be in the red clump region based on the period spacing results. Tang et al. (2018) further studied the same star by analyzing the internal structure of the best-fitting model and inferred the evolutionary status as being on the red giant branch. Recent astrometric data (DR2) from Gaia satellite and photometric data from Kepler satellite will be used in the study. The results with data from Gaia and Kepler satellites will be compared from which conclusion will be drawn.
