Behaviour of thermospheric neutral wind and temperature over Sutherland: Fabry-Perot interferometer observations

Project:
The thermosphere is the neutral portion of the upper atmosphere with very high temperatures and low neutral density. It is strongly coupled to the ionosphere through neutral-ion collisions leading to the transfer of energy and momentum. This project will study neutral wind and temperatures in the thermosphere using measurements from a Fabry-Perot interferometer deployed in Sutherland.
