Deriving a new rotation curve for the nearby galaxy NGC 2403

Project: 
In this project the student will use the HALOGAS HI data cube of NGC 2403 to re-generate the map of its HI distribution as well as its intensity-weighted mean velocity field. Using the new maps, the student will fit a tilted ring model to the galaxy in order to produce a new rotation curve for the galaxy. This rotation curve will potentially be used to probe the dark matter content of NGC 2403.
