Characterizing periodic methanol masers

Project Description: 

The project will investigate the flare profiles of periodic methanol masers and characterize the profiles based on period, shape, stability, and duty cycle. Then using these results investigate if there is any such behavior that has been seen in other wavelengths, such as optical, Infrared, or any other band to see whether any suggestions can be made about what the possible driving mechanisms might be.
